Frequently
Asked Questions

Laser Hair Removal

Is permanent hair removal allowed during pregnancy?

With a doctor’s permission, theoretically yes, but at Nouaé we do not perform laser treatments during pregnancy. Why is that?

  • The skin is often more sensitive during this period.
  • Hormonal changes can also affect the results.
  • We take a precautionary approach to protect both mother and child.

Is there any use in getting hair removal done under the age of 18?

Yes, it can be effective even at a young age. It is important that the hair growth is already hormonally stable. Our expert will be happy to advise you personally – please bring your parents’ declaration of consent with you.

Can I get treated during my period?

Yes of course. However, the sensation of pain may be slightly increased during menstruation.

At what age can laser hair removal be done?

From the age of 14 – with written parental consent.

Is laser hair removal unhealthy or harmful to the skin?

No, when performed professionally, laser hair removal is neither harmful to your health nor damaging to the skin. Our 4-wavelength laser works gently and safely – and can even stimulate collagen and elastin production, which supports skin rejuvenation.

Is laser hair removal painful?

Thanks to our advanced 360° ICE cooling and SHR technology, the treatment is virtually pain-free – even for sensitive skin. The integrated ICE technology ensures continuous skin cooling (down to -21 degrees) and protects the skin from burns.

What happens if hair grows back after a while?

That can happen, for instance if:

  • the session intervals were not adhered to
  •  medication has been taken
  •  there is a hormonal imbalance

Around 10% of hair roots can regenerate naturally. Regular maintenance sessions help preserve results over the long term.

How does the treatment process work?

  • Personal consultation with skin and hair analysis.
  • Creation of an individual treatment plan.
  •  Laser treatment carried out using the latest technology.

Why are multiple sessions necessary?

Hair grows in cycles. Laser treatment is only effective during the active growth phase (anagen phase). Therefore, multiple sessions are required to treat all hair follicles effectively.

How many sessions are required?

This varies from person to person. On average, 6–10 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart are needed for optimal results. Visible improvements are often noticeable after the very first session.

How long does one laser session take?

Depending on the body area, a session lasts between 15 minutes (e.g. underarms) and 120 minutes (e.g. full body).

Can I get treated all year round?

Yes! Thanks to advanced ICE cooling technology, treatment is possible 365 days a year – even in summer. There’s no need to pause your treatment plan due to seasonal changes.

Is the result of laser treatment permanent?

Our laser combines the most powerful medical-grade diode laser on the market with cutting-edge FAC (Fast Axis Collimator) technology for even energy distribution – ensuring particularly effective and long-lasting hair-free results.

Since hair follicles can regenerate over time, we recommend 1–2 maintenance sessions per year to maintain smooth skin.

Which skin and hair types can be treated?

Our four-wavelength laser technology uses multiple laser lengths to target different structures within the hair follicle. This means that all skin types – including very dark skin – and all hair types can be lasered effectively. It is important that there is a certain amount of melanin (pigment) in the hair!

How much does permanent laser hair removal cost?

Prices vary depending on the body area and number of sessions. For detailed information, we will be happy to advise you personally in the studio.

Can I sunbathe or go to the solarium after treatment?

Direct sunlight and tanning beds should be avoided for approx. 1-2 weeks. Please always wear sun protection with a high sun protection factor (SPF 50+) to avoid pigmentation disorders

Can there be any side effects?

In rare cases, redness, slight burning or swelling may occur – these usually subside within a few hours. Thanks to our ICE cooling system, such reactions are significantly minimized.

Can tattooed skin be lasered?

No. We do not carry out laser treatments on tattooed skin, as the laser could hit the color pigments in the tattoo and cause skin damage. We carefully work around tattooed areas only.

What should I consider before the treatment? That can happen, for instance if:

  • Please shave the treatment area one day before your session.
  • At least 4-6 weeks before your first session, do not wax, tweeze or epilate – the hair root must remain intact.
  • During the entire treatment period, shaving is the only approved hair removal method.
  • Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds beforehand to prevent skin irritation or pigmentation changes.

How many RF sessions are needed?

For optimal results, we recommend 3 to 5 sessions, spaced about 4 weeks apart. The exact number depends on your individual skin condition and goals. For maintenance, 2 to 3 sessions per year are recommended.

How long does a single RF session take?

Depending on the size of the area being treated, a session typically lasts between 30 and 90 minutes.

When are the first results of fractional radiofrequency visible?

Initial improvements can be seen a few days after treatment. The full effect usually unfolds after 2 weeks. However, the results continue to develop over several weeks, as the body needs time to produce new collagen and elastin. The maximum tightening effect is usually visible after 6 to 12 weeks.

How long do the results of the DermaFrax RF treatment last?

The results are long-lasting, especially with regular treatments. However, the duration of the effects depends on various factors, such as skin condition, lifestyle, and adherence to post-treatment care instructions. Since the skin continues to age naturally, we recommend 2-3 maintenance treatments per year.

What makes DermaFrax unique compared to other RF procedures?

DermaFrax combines monopolar and bipolar radiofrequency technology in a single system for deep, wide-reaching, and highly precise treatments.

Benefits of this technology:

  • Monopolar RF: Reaches deeper layers of the skin and intensively tightens the tissue.
  • Bipolar RF: Acts in the superficial layers, making it ideal for skin revitalization.

Are there any side effects or risks with the DermaFrax RF treatment?

DermaFrax is a very safe and well-tolerated method. The treatment typically has very few side effects. Occasionally, mild redness, swelling, or dryness may occur, but these usually subside shortly after the treatment.

Is the RF treatment painful?

No, it is a gentle, painless treatment method that primarily works in the deeper layers of the skin. We particularly recommend this treatment for sensitive clients.ms.

What should I consider before an RF session?

Please inform us about any medications you are taking. Avoid direct sun exposure and the use of irritating products (e.g., retinoids or corticosteroid creams) for at least 3 days before the treatment.

When can I start the DermaFrax RF treatment?

After a thorough consultation and skin analysis by our experienced team, you can begin the treatment at any time.

Fractional Radiofrequency Microneedling

How does fractional radiofrequency microneedling work?

After thoroughly cleansing, disinfecting, and—if desired—numbing the treatment area with a local anesthetic, your skin is treated with a special handpiece containing fine, gold-plated microneedles. These needles penetrate precisely into the mid-layers of the skin and deliver targeted radiofrequency energy. This combination of mechanical stimulation and deep thermal effect stimulates the body’s natural production of collagen and elastin, visibly improving the skin’s texture and firmness. After the treatment, the skin may appear temporarily red and feel tight. Cooling and soothing post-care with active ingredients help relieve any tension and support skin regeneration.

What skin concerns can RF microneedling treat?

Fractional RF microneedling is used for:

  • Wrinkle reduction
  • Skin tightening and rejuvenation (e.g., after weight loss)
  • Pore refinement
  • Treatment of acne and surgical scars
  • Treatment of burn scars
  • Reduction of stretch marks and cellulite
  • Improvement of hyperpigmentation

How long does an RF microneedling session take?

Depending on the size of the area being treated, a session lasts between 30 and 90 minutes.

How many RF microneedling treatments are needed?

For optimal results, we recommend 2 to 3 sessions spaced about 4 to 6 weeks apart. The exact number depends on your individual skin condition and treatment goals.

When will I see the first results from RF microneedling?

Initial improvements can be seen just a few days after treatment. Full results typically develop after about 4 to 6 weeks, once the stimulated collagen synthesis begins to take deeper effect.

How long do RF microneedling results last?

The results are long-lasting—ranging from several months up to two years. Since skin continues to age naturally, we recommend maintenance treatments every 6 to 12 months to preserve your results. For depressed scars, the improvements may even be permanent.

Which areas of the body can be treated with RF microneedling?

This treatment is particularly effective on the face and neck. Other areas include:

  • Décolletage
  • Hands
  • Knees
  • Any areas with sagging or scarred skin

Benefits of this technology include:

  • Monopolar RF: Penetrates deeper skin layers for intense tissue tightening.
  • Bipolar RF: Targets superficial layers—ideal for skin revitalization.
  •  Laser treatmet carried out using the latest technology.

This combination leads to more effective results compared to conventional RF microneedling systems.

What makes DermaFrax different from other RF microneedling systems?

DermaFrax combines monopolar and bipolar radiofrequency technologies in one system—offering a deep, comprehensive, and highly precise treatment.

Are there any side effects or risks with RF microneedling?

DermaFrax is a very safe and well-tolerated method. Temporary redness and mild swelling are normal and usually subside within 1 to 3 days. In rare cases, there may be temporary skin irritation or mild inflammation, which is easily treatable.

TCA 35 – Resurfacing Peel

What is the TCA Resurfacing Peel?

The TCA 35 Peel by ToskaniMed is an intensive medical-cosmetic peel that renews the skin’s structure, leaving it smoother and more radiant. Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) is used to carefully exfoliate the outermost skin layers, addressing deeper skin issues such as wrinkles, pigmentation, and acne scars.

How does the TCA Resurfacing Peel work?

The TCA 35 Peel is applied with a precisely dosed Trichloroacetic acid solution. Depending on the concentration and exposure time, the acid gradually removes the upper to mid layers of the skin. This triggers a natural exfoliation process, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin.

How long does the treatment take?

The TCA 35 Peel treatment lasts about 30 minutes, depending on the skin condition and the area being treated.

How long does the healing process take?

After the TCA Resurfacing peel, the skin will visibly exfoliate for 5–7 days. This is a normal part of the healing process, signaling skin renewal. Fresh, new skin will appear after healing.

How often can the TCA Resurfacing Peel be performed?

The TCA 35 Peel is designed as a one-time treatment for intensive skin renewal. If necessary, the treatment can be repeated after 6 months.

What precautions should be taken before and after the treatment?

  • Sun Protection: After the TCA 35 Peel, it’s essential to use a sunscreen with SPF 50+ to prevent skin damage and pigment changes.
  • Preparation: Avoid intense sun exposure, tanning beds, and skin-irritating activities before the treatment to prevent skin irritation and complications.
  • Aftercare: The skin requires special care after the TCA Peel. A specific cream is available at the clinic and should be used during the healing process.
  • Avoiding Irritants: During the recovery phase, refrain from using harsh or irritating products like peels, retinol, or alcohol-based products. Only use post-peel care products.

What contraindications are there for the TCA Resurfacing Peel?

The TCA 35 Peel should not be performed if any of the following conditions apply:

  • Isotretinoin therapy (last 6 months)
  • Recent surgery, radiation, or laser treatment in the treatment area (last 2 weeks)
  • Active inflammation or infections in the treatment area
  • Open wounds or burns in the treatment area
  • Immunosuppression
  • Uncontrolled diabetes
  • Drug allergies (e.g., acetylsalicylic acid)
  • Recently shaved or waxed skin
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding

How quickly will I see results?

The results of the TCA 35 Resurfacing Peel are immediately visible, with noticeable improvement in skin appearance after healing. Long-term skin improvement will be visible with proper aftercare.

Is there any downtime after the treatment?

Yes, after the TCA Resurfacing Peel, you can expect a downtime of 5–7 days while the skin peels and regenerates. During this time, avoid irritants and take extra care of your skin.

Medical Microneedling (Mesotherapy)

What is medical microneedling (mesotherapy)?

Microneedling, also known as medical mesotherapy, is a minimally invasive treatment that uses fine needles to create microchannels in the skin. These controlled micro-injuries stimulate the skin’s natural regeneration processes, boosting collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid production. The result is firmer, smoother, and more resilient skin. It also enhances blood circulation and increases the skin’s ability to absorb active ingredients. This combination of mechanical stimulation and targeted infusion leads to visible improvements in skin texture and elasticity – often after just a few sessions.

Who is microneedling suitable for?

Microneedling is suitable for almost all skin types and can be used to address various skin concerns:

  • Prevention: Enhances overall skin tone and texture
  • Correction: Improves skin quality on the face, neck, décolleté, and hands
  • Support: Complements other aesthetic treatments

Is mesotherapy effective for hair loss?

Yes. Mesotherapy is increasingly used as a treatment for hair loss and is gaining recognition as a promising and potentially standard therapy in the future.

When is microneedling not recommended?

Microneedling should be avoided if you:

  • Take blood thinners or medications such as Isotretinoin (e.g. Accutane)
  • Have active infections, herpes, or open wounds
  • Have active acne or inflamed skin
  • Are pregnant (higher risk of pigmentation changes)

What results can I expect?

Visible improvements may appear after the very first session – the skin looks fresher, smoother, and more even. Final results typically develop within 4 to 8 weeks and can last for several months, often up to a year, depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare.

Are there any risks or side effects?

Microneedling is generally very well tolerated and low-risk. Mild redness, swelling, or a tight sensation may occur but usually subside within a few hours. We recommend cooling the skin post-treatment and avoiding direct sunlight for at least 24 hours.

Is microneedling painful?

Most clients experience very little discomfort. On a scale from 0 to 10, pain is typically rated between 1 and 2 – depending on individual skin sensitivity and treatment depth.

How often should microneedling be performed?

  • Initial phase: 5 sessions spaced 1–2 weeks apart
  • Maintenance: 1 session per month

What should I keep in mind after microneedling?

Post-treatment care is essential for optimal results:

  • No makeup for 24 hours
  • Avoid sun, sauna, and exercise for 48 hours
  • Always apply SPF 50+ to treated areas
  • Avoid exfoliants, active ingredients, or harsh skincare for a few days
  • Drink plenty of water to support regeneration from within

How long does a session take?

Depending on skin condition and treatment goals, each session lasts about 75 minutes.

SkinO₂ 3-in-1 Technology

What is SkinO₂?

SkinO₂ is an innovative 3-in-1 medical-cosmetic treatment that blends the latest technologies—CO₂ bubble activation (OxyPods), micro-peeling, ultrasound, and radiofrequency—into one powerful experience. It deeply oxygenates your skin while boosting circulation, gently exfoliating dead skin cells, and infusing potent active ingredients deep where they’re needed most. The result? Your skin’s natural collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid production gets a fresh kickstart, leading to visibly healthier, more radiant skin over time.

How does the Bohr Effect work?

When the OxyPod capsules come into contact with the activation gel, tiny CO₂ bubbles form on your skin. These bubbles trigger what’s called the Bohr Effect — your body thinks your skin is low on oxygen and rushes in with fresh, oxygen-rich blood. This natural boost energizes your skin cells, supports faster regeneration, and kickstarts your skin’s repair process.

What do the OxyPod capsules do?

OxyPods contain potent natural ingredients in a stable, dry form. They only get activated and released once they come into contact with the activation gel on your skin, ensuring the actives penetrate deeply and work their magic.

Which technologies are combined in SkinO₂?

  • CO₂/OxyPod Technology: Triggers the Bohr Effect and activates the ingredients.
  • Micro-Peeling: Gently removes dead skin cells and smooths skin texture.
  • Ultrasound: Temporarily boosts skin absorption for deeper ingredient delivery.
  • Radiofrequency: Heats the deeper skin layers to stimulate collagen and elastin, tightening the skin visibly.

What happens during the SkinO₂ treatment?

  1. Skin cleansing & analysis
  2. Activation of OxyPod capsules—CO₂ bubbles released on the skin, Bohr Effect activated
  3. Micro-peeling to gently slough off dead cells
  4. Radiofrequency for skin tightening and regeneration boost
  5. Infusion of active ingredients using ultrasound
  6. Personalized finishing care

Duration: 45 to 60 minutes

How often should I get SkinO₂?

For lasting results, we suggest a session every 4 weeks. For maintenance and prevention, every 4 to 6 weeks is enough.

How does the treatment feel?

It’s pleasant, refreshing, and totally pain-free. Many clients notice an immediate fresh boost and radiant “glow.”

Who benefits from SkinO₂?

SkinO₂ is suitable for all skin types—even sensitive, redness-prone, or irritated skin.

Is there any downtime?

No. SkinO₂ is gentle and non-invasive.

When will I see results?

  • Right away: Fresher glow, smoother skin, and that signature radiance.
  • Mid-term: Refined pores and fewer breakouts.
  • Long-term: Improved fine lines, pigmentation, and overall skin texture with regular use.

Who is SkinO₂ best for?

It’s great for almost everyone, especially if you have:

  • Tired, dull, or stressed skin
  • Fine lines and early signs of aging
  • Acne-prone or troubled skin
  • Sensitive or irritated skin
  • Pigmentation issues or sun damage
  • Dry, dehydrated skin

Is there any recommended aftercare following SkinO₂?

No special aftercare is needed. Just keep your skin well hydrated and don’t forget your sunscreen.
