Contraindications

Please review our most current contraindications before booking your appointment at nouaé.

If any of the following contraindications are present, treatment cannot be performed for medical reasons. In case of uncertainty, we recommend consulting with a physician:

• Pregnancy: No treatment during pregnancy.
• IVF or fertility treatments: No treatment during active IVF or other fertility therapies.
• Active epilepsy: No treatment without prior medical clearance.
• Acute or chronic skin conditions: No treatment for active rosacea or severe acne in the treatment area.
• Acute skin infections or open wounds: No treatment in case of rashes, eczema, or active psoriasis in the treatment area.
• Skin cancer: No treatment in cases of existing or suspected skin cancer.
Chemotherapy: No treatment during or within 3 months after chemotherapy.
Organ transplantations: No treatment after an organ transplantation.
Active herpes infections: No treatment for cold sores or shingles in the treatment area.
• Immune deficiency or autoimmune diseases: No treatment in cases of severe immune deficiency diseases (e.g., HIV, lupus).
Blood clotting disorders: No treatment in cases of known clotting disorders such as hemophilia.
Acute infections or cold symptoms: No treatment with fever, flu-like infections, or severe cold symptoms.
Untreated or poorly controlled diabetes: No treatment in cases of poorly controlled blood sugar or existing wound healing disorders.
Acute stress or severe psychological strain: No treatment in cases of acute stress, anxiety disorders, or psychological instability.
Vitiligo: No treatment in the affected treatment area.
Use of retinoids or corticosteroids: No treatment during or within 3 months after therapy with retinoids or corticosteroids.
Use of immunosuppressants or blood thinners: No treatment when taking immunosuppressants or blood-thinning medications.
Use of photosensitizing medications: No treatment while using medications that increase skin photosensitivity.
Facial surgeries: No treatment within 3 months after facelift or rhinoplasty.
Invasive treatments: No treatment within 30 days after Fraxel, CO2 laser, or PDO thread treatments.
Botox or filler treatments: No treatment within 14 days after Botox or filler injections.
Laser hair removal: No treatment within 7 days after laser hair removal.
Removal of skin lesions: No treatment within 14 days after removal of moles, milia, or skin tags.
Severe sunburn or very dry, damaged skin: No treatment on severely sunburned or extremely dry, damaged skin in the treatment area.
Fresh tattoos: No treatment on freshly tattooed skin within the last 6 weeks.
